ABD - Avanti BMX Development.
Look back to the 80's when BMX started, now can you remember the brand name - Supersport. Well this is how Avanti started off in the bike market, before they went big with road and mountain bikes.
Now Avanti have come back in the BMX market under a new brand name ABD.
This started when Specialized left BMX race and so Avanti came in with the ABD. First they started to build the stock bikes for around $500 so any Joe can get into BMX, then came along the development of the Team Issue Frames. These were made very light and are the flag ship of the brand.
Richard Mclachlan is involved with the spec and design of these bikes. With each year the bike getting better and better. Now made with Easton Alloy, Internal Cable route, Stiff Chainstays, External Headset, 27.2 Seat post, and more.
